Practical audio tools designed by an Airline Pilot and Hypnotherapist to help you feel calm at every stage of your journey.
Whether you struggle with take-off, turbulence, or simply the build-up to travel, these guided audios are designed to meet you where you are - offering reassurance, grounding, and calm in real moments of stress.
Why Meditations Can Help
Flying anxiety often strikes at specific moments such as the night before, during take off, in turbulence or while waiting at the gate. These meditations are designed to guide you through those situations step by step, giving you something to lean on whenever you need it most.
Each one combines my experience as an Airline Pilot with therapeutic techniques that calm the nervous system and reframe anxious thoughts. You can listen on your phone, anywhere and anytime.
What Are Meditations?
These meditations are short guided audios that combine gentle relaxation with focused suggestion. Unlike simply listening to music or trying to distract yourself, a meditation guides both your body and your mind into a calmer state. They use breathing, visualisation and reassuring language to help settle anxious thoughts and steady your nervous system. The aim is not just to relax for a few minutes, but to create a shift that lasts throughout your journey.
Each meditation is designed for a specific stage of your journey:
- Night Before: The evening before a flight can be the hardest part for many. This meditation helps you unwind, quieten racing thoughts, and replace worry with calm anticipation. It prepares both body and mind for rest, setting a peaceful tone for the journey ahead.
- Airport Gate: Airports can seem overwhelming - bright lights, noise, and a constant sense of movement. This track helps you stay centred and grounded while you wait to board. Using mindful breathing and awareness of your surroundings, it brings you back to the present, away from “what if” thinking.
- Take Off: Often the most intense moment for those with flight anxiety. I guide you through the sensations and sounds you’ll experience - from engine power-up to climb - explaining what’s happening in simple, reassuring terms. As your logical mind understands each sound, your body learns to relax.
- Cruising: Once the aircraft levels off, the focus turns to staying calm and steady in the air. This meditation helps you settle into the rhythm of the flight, using visualisation and breathing to maintain comfort through any mild turbulence. It’s a reminder that you’re safe, supported, and free to rest.
- Landing: As the flight nears its end, this session helps you stay composed during descent and touchdown. It encourages trust, gratitude, and grounding - a gentle close to the journey that reinforces your ability to stay calm from take-off to landing.
Why These Work
These meditations are not generic relaxation tracks. They are created from my unique perspective as both a Pilot and Hypnotherapist.
Here’s what makes them different:
Created by a Pilot: Each meditation includes gentle, factual explanations of what’s happening during flight. You’ll learn what specific sounds mean, why the aircraft behaves the way it does, and how these sensations fit into the normal rhythm of flying.
Designed by a Hypnotherapist: The language, pacing, and structure follow evidence-based therapeutic techniques that help reframe anxious thoughts and calm the body’s stress response.
Focused on Real Flight Moments: These are not abstract visualisations of beaches or clouds. They’re practical, moment-by-moment guides designed for real situations like take-off, turbulence, and landing.
Available Anytime: You can listen privately on your phone or headphones, at home or onboard, whenever you need reassurance.

How to Get the Most Out of Them
Like any skill, feeling calm while flying becomes easier with practice. My guided audios are designed to help you build that calm gradually, one session at a time. The more you listen, the more your body and mind will begin to recognise the sensations of flying as safe and familiar.
To get the best results:
Find a quiet space where you can listen without interruption. If you’re at the airport or on the plane, use noise-cancelling or in-ear headphones to create your own calm environment.
- Sit comfortably with your feet resting on the floor or lightly supported. These tracks are made for relaxation, not multitasking.
- Breathe slowly and evenly. Each gentle breath will help anchor your body in the present moment and signal safety to your nervous system.
- If anxiety rises, simply notice it, then bring your focus back to my voice and your breathing. The aim isn’t to block thoughts, but to let them pass without reaction.
- Treat each session as a small step. Over time, this simple relaxation practice can transform not just how you handle flying, but how you respond to stress in everyday life.
